How blind ranking works
Each run draws 10 unique mages from all 124 roster characters - legend-tier monsters or loveable weaklings, in random reveal order. Tap any empty slot from 1 to 10 to lock the current mage in. Once placed, a mage never moves.
The tension is the game: burn slot 1 early on an elite and a legend walks in at round 9 with nowhere to go. Fill all 10 slots to lock your list - then the truth reveal grades every placement against the real strongest-first order, exact hits calling Perfect.
Smart rankers play the odds, not the face. Early reveals skew toward the middle - park them in middle slots and keep the poles open. Legends cluster at the extremes of the true order, so a famous silhouette deserves a famous slot. And never fill both ends before round six: the run punishes certainty more than caution.
Graded, not guessed
The truth order comes from the same feat-graded model as the draft game: every mage scored from canon showings across 124 characters, strongest first. No popularity votes, no recency bias - a background elite outranks a beloved weakling every time, and the reveal shows exactly where your instincts broke from the numbers.
Study the draft game rosterto learn the tiers before you play - or go in blind and let the reveal teach you. Either way, every list ends smarter than it started.
Reads that win lists
Learn the extremes and the middle plays itself. The legend tier is tiny - Lucius, Yami, Asta, Yuno and a handful more - so a famous monster silhouette is almost always a pole slot. The rookie tier is just as readable: academy faces and loveable weaklings belong at the bottom on sight. Everything between is the skill zone, and that is where lists are won.
Count open slots, not rounds. Keep slots 1, 2, 9 and 10 breathing as long as you can - extremes demand extremes, and a mid-tier face parked at a pole is a wound that never heals. When a reveal could be anything, spend a middle slot; middles forgive, poles don't. The nightmare is fixed math: ten slots, ten reveals, and the run loves dealing its legend the round after you close the top.
Study before or after - both work. Thedraft game teaches every tier cold, but going in blind teaches faster because every mistake stings. Most rankers split the difference: one blind list for pride, then homework, then the rematch where it counts.
And rematch often - a two-minute list costs nothing. Chase the perfect ten-for-ten, then chase it again with a harder cast. The leaderboard that matters is your crew's group chat, and every truth reveal is fresh ammunition. Keep a running tally across the week; consistency beats one lucky list. Want longer strategy? Try the 6-round draft gamewith the same roster.
Before you rank
How long does a blind ranking take?
About two minutes - ten reveals, one placement each. Read fast, commit faster; locked slots never reopen.
Is the blind ranking game free?
Free forever, no account. Your list lives in the browser and vanishes when you close the tab - rank again as often as you like.
How is my list scored?
Every slot is graded against the true strongest-first order from our 124-character feat brackets. Perfect is exact bracket, Good is one bracket off, Incorrect is two or more off - every row shows its points (+1.0 / +0.5 / +0.2 / +0.0).
Can the same character appear twice in one run?
Never. Each run draws ten unique mages, legend-tier monsters or loveable weaklings, in random reveal order.
Do I need to know Black Clover to play?
No. Faces and names are all you get before each placement - and the truth reveal at the end teaches the order as you play.
What if I waste slot 1 on a weakling?
Then slot 1 is a weakling forever - that is the game. Burn the top early and Lucius himself can walk in at round nine with nowhere to go. Rematch and spend better.
Who decides the true order?
The same hand-graded model behind the draft game: canon feats across 124 characters, strongest first, no popularity votes.
Can I undo a placement?
No. Locked slots never reopen - that irreversibility is the entire game. Play each reveal like it might be the last legend you see.
How many different runs exist?
Ten unique mages drawn from 124, in random order - billions of possible casts. You will never see the same list twice.
